Gammarus pulex, L,1

Origin: Gammarus species occur worldwide, also in the tropics, where they form a part of te natural diet of many fish species.

Nutritious value: Gammarus pulex are high in Calcium and fiber. The animals can be fed to fish from 3-20 cm.

Grow your own: Difficult, can be done in aquariums, filled with dried leaves on which the animals feed.
