pictures Care: Rasbora axelrodi is best kept in a species tank, with a dark soil and some floating plants. Densely planted zones in the back and on the sides of the tank, and a reasonable amount of swimming space in the front. The bigger the tank the better, but an 80 cm tank should be considered the minimum size for a school of 6 or more of these fish, since they are really active swimmers. The water should be soft and slightly acidic, peat filtration is recommended, and some current is appreciated. Temperatures should be in the middle or higher regions. Rasbora axelrodi fish can well be kept together with some labyrinthfish, and other small peacefull fish, but isn't really suitable to keep in an average community tank. Temperature:23-26 degrees. Feeding:Omnivorous, all food is accepted. Size: Up to 3 cm. pH: 6.0-7.5
Sexual dimorphism: Males a bit more colorfull, the females mostly lack the blue green. Prices: Netherlands 4€ Additional:Seldom available. Picture references:All pictures E. Naus References:Baensch, H. A., Riehl, R.(1985): Aquarien Atlas II. Mergus Verlag, Melle, Germany.
