![]() Rasbora hengeli, Meinken, 1956(the fish in the picture is espei!) Origin: Muara Tembesi, Jambi, Sumatra, Indonesia. Etymology: unk Synonyms:unk First European import:Unk Description:Very similar to Rasbora espei, the body is a bit more translucent, and Rasbora hengeli remains smaller. The body color in Rasbora espei is furthermore more red, and Rasbora espei has a small black line behind the head, which in dead specimens of Rasbora hengeli isn't visible. Care: The fish occur naturally in small slow flowing forest rivers and swamps. Rasbora hengeli is probably best kept in a tank with peat filtered water, not too much light, and a dark soil. PH around 6 and Hardness below 5 dGH. Temperature:24-26 degrees Feeding: Unknown, probably omnivorous Size:3.5-4 cm? pH: 5.5-6.5 Breeding: Unknown, probably extremely soft acidic water is required. Sexual dimorphism: Prices:Unk Additional: The description of this fish is based on aquarium specimens.
