Boulenger, George Albert (1858-1937) George
Albert Boulenger was an important Belgian ichtyologist and botanist. He was appointed
director of the ichtyology department of the British Museum. Besides numerous
fish descriptions he published the Ctalog of the fresh-water fishes of Afrika
in the Britisch Museum, which is still used today. Some fish have been named after
him, for example the Boulengerella genus( B. lateristriga, B. ocellatus, B. lucia).
